I didn't know anyone could have one as a pet. Why not just throw a live animal in with them. If they are hungry nature will take it's course.

Actually aside from the fact that Komodos are endangered, requiring not only the King of Indonesia's permission and our government's, you must meet certain requirements. One is if you have access to the proper food. In captive breeding programs, a staple diet typically consists of ground meets, rabbits, rats, mice, and feeder birds. It all varies on the size of the monitor (Komodo monitor a.k.a Komodo dragon).

Actually I think they prefer carrion.DEAD ROTTING MEAT.as opposed to living or freshly killed animals.YUCK!!

As of a few years ago, they had a couple of Komodos at the Metro Toronto Zoo. Hop on a search engine and look them up.they have a really good website, and might have more info on feeding captive Komodos.
