i have a bearded dragon. i was just wondering, when he dies, hopefully in a long time, what are other pets i can have that wil go in my 30 gallon tank. i dont want an expensive pet, or a boring one like a hermit crab.

A Snake would be my best answer and you dont need to get a big sanke either you can get a medium sized snake thats not poisen and trust me, there not boring,
Corydora catfish, ghost shrimp, If you get a saltwater. there are more interesting fish. Get a seahorse!! or a eel. hhmm you should check out your local petstore, petco or petsmart and see what the got, ask the person who works there exactly what you are looking for. Good Luck!
Tortoises are super, they don't live in water like most turtles and some, like the small Russian tortoise hibernate in cool weather. You can usually find rescues for turtles and tortoises, just internet search with your area. They can actually be quite entertaining and reconize you as their owner.
