why does stingrays killy you
The stingray has poisonous barbs, so first they poison you then as the barb is ripped out it tears the flesh. If this hits the heart of a major artery as in the Steve Irwin case you then lose a lot of blood quick and this will kill you A strike anywhere else although pain full will not always kill.
Why 'do' stingrays kill you? Maybe because they hate bad grammer!
It's the venom in thier barb that enters the bloodstream.
erm because they just do sometimes?!
was that a pop at steve irwin?
A stingrays tail has many sharp spines on it which each have poisonous barbs on it that are there to protect from predators. If a stingray feels threatened, is suprised, or frightened, it will lash out with this ultra-venomous tail.
string rays have a barb at the end of their tail, which they pierce to the enemy if they feel threatened.
this barb is venomous and can poison the enemy.
if the stingray barb hits in the chest, it pierces the heart, so it kills the person as he gets cardiac arrest.
so far only 2 people have ever been reported to have died of this, including steven irwin yesterday
:(
to protect themselves, when something swims over the top of them they think a shark is going to eat them and the stinger is a auto action.
