why has my boa stopped eating
some snakes will stop eating at this time of year, its natural, try offering food every couple of week, if it doesnt take its only a few quid,if it starts to noticably lose weight then see a vet.
royal python
common boa
cornsnake
bearded dragon
chile rose tarantula
Where's the dog??
You should ask a vet?
I hear boas can eat once every so weeks depending on how big the meal is..maybe he's full? Or if he's not eaten in awhile, you should take him to the vet.
Could be shedding skin. If not eaten for while try taking water away, most snakes will eat for rehydration if they think there is chance of drought. If your snake is producing mucus then you should take it to a vet. Hope this helps.
possibly a bowel constriction?
ummmm. how long has it stoped eating for?
those things can go for weeks on one meal
Not much info. with Q. But if you just got in not long ago, and your are handling it quite a bit. That's one that a lot of people make. A boa in nature is not handed around. If you do not have a cage with the proper environment. That's not good. Any other problems. Call your local zoo and talk to the reptile handlers.
Your snake is most likely getting ready to shed its skin. To know for sure look at its eyes. When they are getting ready to shed, most boas eyes get a white look in them. Hope this helps.
What are you feeding it? Frozen hoppers? Sometimes they get bored of 'dead' food and want live stuff. Or it could be shedding in which case it wont eat.
