why is my ball python eyes is Grey2007-11-24 2:05:03Answers:

He isn't blind. He is "blue". That means he is starting the shedding process. Snakes eyes will get cloudy once the shedding process starts. They will go back to clear in a few days and then shed his skin a few days after that.

It is about to shed
excuse me did u say: why am my ball's eyes grey? idk
SORRY to tell u this but he is Blind.
for them to see better..
I would agree with the first answer, usually the eyes become opaque just before shedding as the top layer of the eye is lost in the shed as well. If your python doesn't shed soon though, or has shed and the eye is still opaque you need to have it seen too by a reptile vet to ensure its vision doesn't become impaired.
The eyes turn grey just before the shed. This is nothing to worry about, just a layer of skin loosening up. They will brighten up again when the skin is gone.

If the eyes turn grey for awhile (like a week) he may be having trouble shedding. Make sure the cage humidity level is high enough and give him something rough to rub against.

omg WHY THE HELL do YOU even have a snake, you obviously dont know n-e-thing about them, i have a snake, and it means its going to shed.

DUH. oh and just in case shed means grow out of its old skin into new skin, yeah, learn about an animal before you get it
