2 male mice
Can 2 male mice live to gether? I have one male mouse. I was planning to get females but the females at the pet shop looked unhealthy so i gaot a cute male mouse. i love his attitude and hes very sweet but he keeps calling out (to other mice i assume). Would he gat along with another male mouse or am i better off spending lots of time with him?
Answers:don't put them together they will most likely fight and one could possibly die. I raise and breed fancy mice. the only way that two males will get along is if they were raised together since birth. if you are going to have 2 mice you are better off with 2 cages or get 2 females.. you can also put one male in with 2 females. if you are close to me and want females i would be glad to give you some. good luck
I wouldn't put them together as they would probably fight over territory.
Also, if the females in the store were sick there is a good possibility that the male may e as well. I am hoping that you are quarantining these mice in separate rooms. Disease from one mouse can spread to the other quickly. Keep them separate for at least a month(different rooms, different floors would be even better) and be sure to was hands in between handling them both.
if you get a female & put it in with the male, you'll have 12 mice in 28 days. then, if you don't seperate them before 3 weeks of age, you'll have about 2 million or so before long. mice don't interact with humans, they prefer other mice (rats are different).if you get a second male, they'll spend their whole lives fighting, even if they are from the same litter. once in a while you get lucky, and they get along.
Male mice fight.
