A good rodent

A good rodent2007-11-24 21:57:16

If you're considering getting any other kind of rodent, though, I'd suggest a rat. I've owned several hamsters in the past, Syrians and one Dwarf, and have owned 2 rats, and the rats have made much better pets than the hammies (not that I didn't love the hamsters, too, though).

I dont like hamsters, so i get rats and they are the best! smart, sweet, and non biting is the way to go! rats like to live in pairs so that'yll give you an excuse to get more than one, and i think they are the easiest rodents to care for if you want a caring, responsive pet... i think they are better companions than cats and some dogs!
yes a hamster is a good choice, the cage is $32-40, food $5, bedding $7, exercise ball $5 and a hamster $10-20. I go to petsmart for all my pet needs.
my hamster was $7
Im a guinea pig lover.my parents decided to get me 2 hampsters once for my birthday cuz they knew i loved rodents and they are so mean.one of them killed the other and the other one got out of its cage cuz it bit the latch off! guinea pigs are cheap to you can find them for like 5 dollars and hampsters are like 9...your better off with a guinea pig! hampsters bite to much...if you get a hampster...be prepared to have an evil pet!
