About 2 hours my mom, brother, sis, and I found a pregnant mouse giving birth, and we are unsure as what to. We found her under our kitchen sink, and so far she gave birth to 3, and she's still sitting in a corner. We put the babies she's already given birth to in a little container, on some cotton and wood chips, and they look healthy to us. We put them in a container because she got scared and left them there, but she didn't go far (30 cm). We used plastic gloves to move them so that we don't remove their scent. We are unsure if she's still in labor, but she looks exhausted. Any advice?

This is a wild mouse in your kitchen where you keep your FOOD and people are getting on your case for disturbing it and the babies? Get a life, folks! There's a BIG difference between those cute little pet store mice and a wild mouse that carries diseases!

Okay, you want some advice? There are a few things you can do:

You can put mom and babies into a tank with a good solid fitting lid until the babies are old enough that they are eating on their own. Then you can transport them somewhere FAR away from your home and release them so they can live their lives without bothering any humans.

You can take mom and babies to a wildlife rehab center and hope they'll take them in.

You can try to keep them as "pets", though I'll warn you, I wouldn't recommend this one. I know some people do keep wild mice as pets, but they aren't tame as our domesticated ones and will always be skittish. And if they get out, I can guarantee you your dad will NOT be happy! ;)
