About how much would a teddy hamster cost
From Petco, after I'd have gotten the cage, the food, and all the neccessary suplies?
And what would I have to do to take care of it? Like how often would I clean the cage, feed it, etc.
Thanks in advance. (:
Answers:Hamsters generally cost from $5 to $10. (Sometimes they're free with the purchase of a cage.)
The hamster should be fed dry food once a day. (If you feed them more often, they'll just hide the food.) Hamsters should get a small amount of fresh food every day or so, as well: a grape, a bit of lettuce, some apple, etc. They can be fed a bit of yoghurt, tofu, peanut butter, or cooked meat every week or so, too. (Cooked meat such as plain chicken or hamburger, but with no sauces, added salt, etc.)
Your hamster should have a waterbottle which it has constant access to. Change the water every few days or when it's empty.
The cage should be cleaned weekly. My sister has a hamster and she only cleans the cage every few weeks or every month, but the hamster seems okay. So use your judgement.
Most days, let your hamster have some time out of his cage, in an exercise ball or closed-off space.

They are no more then 5 dollars. Feed it once in the morning and once at night, more often if they are eating all the food. Make sure they always have water. Clean the cage once a week but if you get more then one clean it more often. Hope this helps.
