Are chinese dwarf hamsters strong or big enough to run around in a mini run around ball? I got two chinese hamsters a week ago and they run in the wheel everyday but they dont seem to want to run around in the balls, they just groom themselves? Any suggestions on how to get them to run around?
Answers:Let them adjust and they will soon become familiar. Just like if you were moving to a new home and you were active at home, but not so much at school. Give them time.
they are strong enough just give them time to get used to their surrounds and be careful they are prone to very crazy temperments sometimes.
Yes they are strong enough,but I would suggest you block anyplace where they could get hurt.They just want to get used to the new surroundings.I found out it helps if you have them in your hands and just give them a quick tour before putting them in the ball.
