Are guinea pigs affectionate
Are they more affectionate than a rabbit?
Answers:Guinea pigs are very affectionate. With time they will learn to trust you and will come running to greet you, they often get to the point where they will just sit with their head hanging over the edge of the cage waiting for a scratch!! This takes time though, guinea pigs are prey animals and are very skittish to start of with. Some good ways to bond with your guinea pig is by:
1. Having floor time daily
2. Cuddles daily
3. Work out their favourite food and make it a rule that they only get that food when you are having your cuddles.
In regards to whether or not they are more affectionate then rabbits; rabbits often do not like to be handled. Other than that it all comes down to personality, some guinea pigs prefer to be left alone - likewise with rabbits.
no, i have owned both, and generally, rabbits are more affectionate.
