Sure, hamsters love to exercise in the wheel. Specially at night. I'd advise you to buy one otherwise your hamster may suffer from sedentarism if the cage is small.Try building paper tunnels or things for them to climb. I'm sure they'll destroy them after a while but it's worth trying!
The wheels normally come with some clip that you stick to the cage. It get kind of trapped between the bars. But there are some others that have a solid base, so that it stands by itself.
Yes! Wodent wheels are excellent. They are perfect for your pet's feet, and your pet won't get caught in the spokes because there aren't any! And, wodent wheels don't make a lot of noise, so if it's a hamster it won't keep you up all night running on the wheel.

Of course! They're big enough for the syrians (they need about 8 inches) and my hammie loves it.
Also, the Wodent Wheel doesn't have those wire bottoms that can catch their feet so it's very safe; I mean, it is all plastic.
Not to mention, they look so cute when they pop out of the holes of the wheel :D
And btw, the wodent wheel is an actually wheel product :)
