at wat age can i start picking up baby dwarf hamsters? and also can they have babies with eachother?
Answers:You can hold them at 2 weeks old. You have to seperate the males with females at 4 weeks or they will breed with each other. I do not recomend etting the babies breed with each other or the parents or it could cause them to be unhealthy and deformed(the mother will eat her babies if they are deformed or unhealthy). i pick my baby hamster up as soon as they r born and i would not breed family members to family memerbs i ahve this prublem right now and one of my hasmters keeps eatting her babies and also u will gt defourmities
Not sure what age until they can be picked up, but I think you have to separate them at age of 3 weeks so they can't mate with each other. Yes, they can mate with each other.
well about 2 weeks old i started holding them when my hamsters had babys but yes around three weeks old they can get pregnant but they usually dont
