Bedding in Hamster Wheel2007-11-24 21:58:20

See I put some bedding in his cage and my Hamster moved it all into his wheeland then brought some up to his little tower thing (like almost none)And now he is almost always in the tower even though he never did it before is somethign wrong cause i think it wierd... o_0

I've had 3 hamsters over tha past 2 or 3 years and they've all done that. i dont know why but my two female hamsters slept up there mostly. So I'd say it's pretyy common. theres nothing wrong :D

It's normal. My gerbils rearrange their tank and hide the food bowl under ALL the bedding every day. As long as he/she is having fun and can still get to the food and water let 'em play with it. It's entertaining to watch them move it all around.

Are you sure it's a he? When my female was getting ready to have babies, she moved every piece of bedding from the cage to her tower area for her nest..

That's completely normal.before my hamsters died, they did the exact same thing. I don't know exactly WHY they do it but in my opinion they do it to move their bedding around to different places in their home so they can sleep there.

It completely normal, you little hamster is having some fun redecorating. Let him do it, as long as he can eat and have some water, the little guy is perfectly fine!

its not wierd my hamster always moves his bedding so don't be worried its just what hamsters do "_"
