My hamster had babies, and theyre two weeks old now, but theyre fighting and i dont know if i should seperate them, but even if i do what about the mom?

mom stays dad leaves. don't handle them until they are about 5 weeks old.

My friend said her hamster had babies and they all ate each other. I know it sounds weird...but the father hamster for sure will eat the babies. You have to get him out of there.

I would separate them all. My cousins had hamsters for awhile, but they ended up inbreeding and such, and soon they had 'retarded' hamster. Some actually had 3 legs instead of 4. I would just separate them all to be safe.

It's a good thing you separated the dad. I don't think that the babies are fighting. The might just be playing around. You can kinda tell if they are fighting when the other one tries to run away. Or if you see blood.

If it does come to separating the babies, you might have to move the mom around so that she can feed them both. However, you want them to start eating dry food as soon as possible so you don't have to move the mom anymore.

Well, first of all, if your hamsters are Syrian hamsters (the bigger hamsters - Syrian hamsters are also called "Black Bear" and "Teddy Bear" hamsters), they must be put into separate cages. Syrian hamsters are solitary, and they must be kept alone, even if one is male and one is female. If they are kept together, they will fight constantly, and one will probably kill the other after they have reached maturity (4-6 weeks)
