My little cousin was eating my hamsters salt wheel, will he be okay2007-11-24 22:13:32

I'm guessing it's just salt... I opened the brand new package and laid the salt wheels on the desk and my cousin came in and started eating it. He's about five or six so he should know better by now...

But should I take him to the emergency room? He only had a little bit and the package says the ingredients are salt and white mineral oil. He seems fine.

He'll be just fine. Just get him to drink alot of water to wash it out of his system because of the white mineral oil, but don't worry about it.

Its salt... to much can make people sick to their stomach and dehydrated. Get him a glass of water and make him lay down for a while. He should feel better if not take him to his doctor.

A few cups of water will help. Also I don't think its a good idea for him to eat anything for a while since then it'll be harder to get out of his system.

okay all this has been said before but yes hell be fine he might fell a slight head ache or stomach ack cuz of mineral oil

but if a hamster can a kid can and hey meniral oil makes skin soft

but anyway yes give some water or juice take him to go piss and he'll be fine
