My long haired hamster is fatter than normali dont no what sex it is its in the cage with a male ham2007-11-24 22:13:33

i feed him the same things. he just keeps getting fatter fatter and fatter i exercise it 1 hr a day

Possibly pregnant, if its a female. Remember, if you find out it is a female (no testicls by its tail area) then remove the male, the male may harm the babies and possibly even eat them. And its possible that he is storing the food somewhere in the cage and then eating large amounts all at once. Hope this helps!

If its male it will have balls on the bottom and its female obviously it won't. If its female she could very well be pregnant and thats no fun to deal with.

If it is a girl hamster(you will notice that it does not have the male external genitals... aka... balls) Then it is probably pregnant... good luck with your babies.

If you can tell the male is a male and the other hamsters "bottom area" doesn't look the same than it's a female and you will be having babies very soon.

welll.you need to seperate them soon...because once they get to the right age..they will fight to the death. My 2 dwarf hamsters keep getting fatter as well, but i know for a fact that they are both female. Some hamsters just get fat.

So, even if they like each other now, they will turn on each other and fight. Seperate ASAP!
