My long haired hamster is fatter than normali dont no what sex it is its in the cage with a male ham2007-11-24 22:13:33

i feed him the same things. he just keeps getting fatter fatter and fatter i exercise it 1 hr a day

more than likely pregnannt and if so yiou need to keep the male out of the cage as he will kill the babies.

if you get a cage put teh male in it as teh female might get to stressedd.

Either it's pregnant, has an intestinal blockage, is eating alka-seltzer, or possibly has been gaining fat as a way to store toxins. Monosodium Glutamate does this to rats, it also makes them dumb, lethargic, and have deformed babies with small brains. MSG is otherwise labeled as 'natural or artificial flavors' or 'spice'. Don't know how it got by the FDA.

Either it's pregnet or it's just fat. I had a super fat hamster. Take the male out for one month. If there are no babies wit the other put it back. If you cant buy another cage trya plastic bin with beding and some toys.

u shudn't really b keepin 2 hamsters in a cage 2gether!! if its a f.male ur in trouble!! all u have 2 do 2 tell the sex of a hamster, rat, mouse is turn them up so u can c their belly. then if u look @ the rear end u'll b able 2 tell if male or f.male.

male rodent has a lump stickin out the back end n females dunt!! my guess is u have a pregnant f.male if keeps gettin fatter n fatter!!
