What makes you think your rabbit has a hairball?

I've had angora rabbits for over 15 years - if any rabbit is prone to hairballs, it's angoras!! I've tried a number of different remedies, including fresh papaya & pineapple, cat remedies, papaya tablets etc. None of these worked for me personally, even though other people have told me they've had success. I've found that a diet high in hay, and grooming the rabbits regularly is the most fail-safe method and it's been years since I've had any signs of woolblock(hairballs).

If your rabbit is showing the symptoms of a hairball - increased drinking, decreased eating, small feces & a reduction in feces production, you need to make sure the rabbit keeps drinking, and give him only high fibre food - so stick to hay. You could give one of the above remedies a go - it won't hurt. If the rabbit starts losing condition, or you don't see an improvement, take him to the vet immediately. Keep an eye on his bowel motions - if they get very small, or you notice that the rabbit just doesn't seem to be doing any at all, he needs medical attention quickly.

I would think that hair ball remedy for cats would work on bunnies too. Might want to ask the vet 1st though.

ur rabbit is probably pregnant, they have hairballs when they are prgnant, the hair comes from their babies

if ur rabbit is a male or something like that, so it could'nt possibly be pregnant them i got no idea

try seeing if they'll eat some pineapple, or add a bit of pineapple juice to water. The citric acid helps dissolve hairballs naturally.
