My rabbit has become very aggressive2007-11-24 22:13:42

My rabbit is usually very sweet and passive, but today, she was acting strange. When I went to pick her up she bit my hand and started making these low, grunting noises at me. Usually when I go to pick her up, she always eagerly waits for me to grab her. Also, she usually snuggles up to my hand when I pet her, but today whenever my hand got close to her she jumped forward and tried to bite and made those noises again. I don't why she's doing that. She is always

gentle-natured but now she is being very aggressive. Can someone please tell me what's wrong with her? I would greatly appreciate it...

how old is she?

it sounds like your entering the (thankfully very short) teenage years! full of raging bunny hormones, good for you your solution is fairly easy..get her fixed! in a month or two afterwards her hormones will cool down and you will have your sweet loving bunn again it will also cut down on her chances for cancer.

my rabbit did the same thing and i thought she just needed another rabbit friend so i bought one and put it in wit my rabbit the next day she killed the other rabbit and i coulnt find the other rabbits head true story dont get ur rabbit a freind rip bugs

I could guess that she's pregnant pherhaps? I am not sure but maybe.

She is in"season" and it usually manifests itself thusly or she just may be ill. See a vet !!

If she is young, it could be that she has reached sexual maturity and is getting the rabbit equivalent of PMT.
