my rabbit is chewing and digging into every thing! he even digs into me, thinking i am the couch!! help!!

Sorry to hear that. Are his nails long? If they are, you might want to get them cut. My rabbit does the same thing sometimes. I think she's trying to wear her nails down.

If your rabbit starts digging things that he shouldn't, like you, let out a scream! I know it sounds weird, but eventually your rabbit should catch the hint and stop digging you. He probably doesn't realize that he is hurting you.

For his problem with chewing, sometimes rabbits "file" down their teeth when they are too long. If it becomes a problem, take him to the veterinarian so they can cut his teeth. If his teeth grow too long, he'll have trouble eating. Another helpful hint is to give him untreated wood so that he can gnaw on it. Timothy hay also helps keep their teeth at a decent length besides providing them roughage.

It's in their nature to chew and dig. They need to chew so that their teeth won't grow too long. They need chew toys and other things to keep them busy. They're actually more intelligent than people think and get bored easily. This site might help too:

It may be in pain. Mine did that after it fell. Its trying to get away from whats hurting it. Or it could just be hyper...

Speak loudly and say NO! This will make it stop. Then calm it down and feed it. I have a rabbit and have trained it to do tricks and follow commands.
