My rabbit was sick2007-11-24 22:13:45

He kept falling over and couldnt walk straight. His eyes kept rolling to the back of his head. His head kept falling to the left side. I think he had a stroke, my teacher said it sounded like a seizure. He is perfelctly fine now but in case it happens again I want to know what it is. My dad wont let me take him to a vet because he said "Its just a stupid rabbit"

It definetly sounds like a seizure.

My sister and I just looked through all our rabbit books and we can't find a sickness with symptoms of seizures.

Seizures are related with problems in the brain and nervous system. I don't want to scare you, but if your rabbit has had one seizure it will most likely have another. Most likely, it will be okay afterward. It's the during you have to be careful of. Remove anything from the cage that your rabbit could hurt itself on as he or she is moving involuntarily.

We have a chicken the has seizures. Sometimes she'll be great for months and then she'll have three in one day.

I know it is mean, but your dad has a point. The vet is an expensive road to choose, and most likely they won't be able to do anything for your bunny. Just make whatever time your rabbit has to live the best it can be, if only for few months or a few years.

Thats horribe of your dad! But yes it sound like a stroke. You should do chores or anything you can do to get it to the vet, it will probably be $100 or $200 to get it checked out... but you can tell the vet that you don't have any money and the might feel bad for you. seriously do chores and get him checked out! he could die if it happens again. I will adopt him from you if your dad wants him to die!! good luck

it sounds like a seizure to me! i have accualy seen somebody have a seizure and sombody have a stroke!
