Mysterious Hamster Death
When my younger brother went into his room today to check up on my hamster, he found that my hamster was dead. He (my hamster) had been fine when we checked on him just a few hours before. He was eating normally, drinking plenty of water and was active as always. I checked to see if he could have choked but I couldn鈥檛 feel anything lodged in his throat. There was nothing he could have hurt himself on in the cage and when he was found he was laying on his back under his log house. He was a Chinese Hamster, and was about 2 陆 years old. Chinese hamsters are supposed to live between 2-3 years so is it possible he just died of old age or was it something I did?
Answers:Yup, old age
Don't beat yourself up like it was your fault
When you lose a pet you always think that if I would have done this or that, then my pet would still be alive, but that's not true. Mr hamster was older and just wanted to go across rainbow bridge

you can too
Mice, Hamsters, and other types of small rodents can sometimes die for no reason.
Most deaths are attributed to being in a certain size of cage.
It sounds like old age to me. That's actually pretty old for a hamster.
Definately sounds like old age.. it happens.. and it sounds like it was easy.. (not painful).. sorry for your loss..
