Need a bit more bunny help2007-11-24 22:13:54

I travel almost every weekend to my cabin and it takes us a 2hour drive . If I take a bunny would that be too much for him? Or can I leave him at home for 2 days? He would probably like the cabin though because it is really outdorsy and fun...but would it overwhelm him?

Answers:

If your choices are between leaving him home alone and taking him with you, then take him. If you have someone to check on him daily while you're gone, you could do either.

At the cabin, I'd make sure the cage is kept indoors unless you're with the rabbit. There's a long list of woodland critters who love rabbit-shaped snacks.

nah he will be fine, my cat was freaky about it at first he was really scared in the car but after a few trips he started to know that he was perfectly safe and ok. he got used to it. just like a kid encountering something new, he will be wary and scared at first, he just has to get used to it, and dont leave him at home:(

My bunny's hate driving. So i would put them in the car and drive around abit to see what they think of it. and see how they get along with the car!! lol, and if they do not like it just live them and give them lot of food and water they will be fine!! Good Luck

Either way would be good depending on his temperment. If he's an outgoing bunny, then he won't mind the trip and will probably prefer to be with you rather then be alone. If he's a timid shy bunny, I would keep him home. The change of scenery may freak him out.

No ...he would do just fine. Just get a good pet carer.And a water bottle. and put wherer he would not move while in the car Also make sure you put news paper in the pet carer.
