Need your help on house for two rats2007-11-24 22:13:57

I have a 10 gallon tank with a metal animal rise. The animal rise has 3 floors but arent as big as the bottom one. Ive been told this is too small what do think? If you think not give me some suggestions on what to get.

I'm sorry but these types of cages, though becoming more and more popular for small animals, are not suitable cages for rats, especially since you have two males.

You'll want to get at least a 36 gallon one. Also put a exercise wheel in it. Most rats can be tamed to the point they can be also allowed run of the house from time to time.

i would say dont get a glass cage. get a cage with the bars. My rat got sick because of the stuffy air. Also get a wheel because they love it.
