New Guniea Pig House
Okay so I have one Guniea pig Iv'e had her for atlest like 2 years. she still has the same house i got for her when we first got her. Its small but its what petsmart reccomended, but i would like for her to have more room.you know to run about and what not. There is not much room in there i got her a new house like a couple months ago its like a "waffle block house" and when you put that in there and the food bowl there is not hardly any room. Im only 13 so i really dont have that much money im sure my parents would help with the cost, but i know thay will want my to supply atlest 1/2 if not more. But i really think she deserves a new home. Is there any you suggest that has alot of room. it has to be able to sit on a table...i have a cat. and again no anything that cost too much. can you tell my where i can find 1 or what its called so i could possible order it on the internet..thx in advance =]
Answers:Is it like pink carefresh bedding? It's possible that it's safe, I haven't acutually looked it over recently. But I would assume that it isn't, because of the artificial colors it uses. It might not be pretty if they eat it. Use it for now, but go back to a regular Carefresh type bedding as soon as you can. I actually prefer using fleece for my guinea pigs because you vaccum the poos and then pop it in the washer/dryer machine once a week. http://www.guineapigcages.com/forum/bedd...
As for the cage, I think that you should look into making a C&C cage. They're very simple to make and relatively cheap compared to petstore cages. Plus, they're bigger and easier to clean. You use a piece of corrugated plastic called Coroplast to make the bottom, and wire storage cubes to make the fence. Here are the very helpful hints. http://www.guineapigcages.com/index.htm... http://www.guineapigcages.com/cubes.htm... http://www.guineapigcages.com/howto.htm... http://www.guineapigcages.com/testimonia...
