Ok i just asked a question about my hamster and everyone says
that if its a pet shop he should be reported. well it is, he has been one for years but keeps the male and female hamsters in cages together and they fight like mad,
I cant take her to a vet because it would cost a fortune and i only just finished college. some one asked am i from the uk yes I am, but surely I cant report him? wouldnt i get laughed at?? and I dont know her age but when i had hamsters when I was younger they were small shes kinda big.
Answers:If you have any complaints about any pet store you should ask the store staff to rectify it straight away. If they do nothing contact your local council. Ask for the environmental health department and ask to speak to the pet shop licensing officer.
Explain clearly what and when you saw the problem and they will not laugh at you. They will ask for your name and address but they won't reveal it to the shop.
They have to deal with any complaint and will report back to you any and all findings.
Reporting to the RSPCA just adds another layer as they have to go to the council environmental health officer as well.
Please report any shop that is doing wrong to animals and won't correct it.
I own a pet and aquatic store

If this is about another question you asked maybe you should have put it in additional details?
Nope its still animal cruelty if he doing that with hamsters then whats he doing with the other animals. Just phone rspca and inform them that you got a hamster from him that wasnt in good health and that you are worried that he is keeping other animals in inhumane conditions.
report him to the rspca! they wont laugh at you and they'll visit him when he's not exspecting it, of course you should report him. if it was large animals you would report him straight away. as for the hamster try leaving her for a couple of days then bathe her in warm water, the scabs will heal anyway. if she's pregnant you'll find out, and hamsters are easy to sell.
the RSPCA certainly wouldn't laugh at anyone concerned with animal welfare. Just report him, you probably won't have to give your name if you don't want to. As far as your hamster goes, you really should take it to a vet, it might not cost as much as you think for a hamster, some vets are expensive but some aren't, you can ring around and ask how much for a consultation.
hi contact the rspca the pdsa will give free vet treatment get hold of them as well and good luck1
If they are fighting like mad and it is resulting in serious injury to the hamsters then it should be stopped. You can get simple baracades that go in the exhibits (I dont know whatesle to call them, my brain is tired as it is late over here!!), the hamsters will still be able to interact and there will be no pregnant hamsters. When the hamsters go home they will be happy, safe and healthy.
