Ok travling with my hamster2007-11-24 22:14:01

You see Im going to WalMart today to get a travel cage for my hamster and I as wondering which one,type,size,ect travel cage to buy.

Something small is good, but I would recommend getting something either a hard plastic or even metal. A lot of those are made of a material, and the hamster can chew through the material ones. And, you may not notice it until he's escaped.

you don't need anything big. it's a little hamster, so you really only need a small cage because it's only temporary

You get little ones, I think rotastak make them and it means you can stuff it with bedding and it can sleep through the journey. ebay also has a cool bus!!

depends how you are traveling and how long the trip will be they dont need much room

I know that most pet stores have travelling cases for rodents not sure if Walmart does. You might want to get something like a cat carrier if the hamsters going to be in it for a few days. That's cute your bringing your hamster on vacation away with you.wish all pet owners were that way

OK so walmart is not the best place to buy a travel cage for pets try a pet store they will have the best products since you are going to be in a car or in a house for 3 days you will probably need a fairly big cage and something portable
