ugh im so sad. my guinea pig has lice and my dad doesnt have enough money for advantage or ivermectin. i dont know what to do. my dad doesnt know how important my guinea pig is to me and he wont help. he says that i can keep my guinea pig, but i cant take her out. i dont want to take her back to the petstore because i would be miserable without her. any ideas on what i can do for money? please help me i want to keep my guinea pig and i want her to be healthy. please im begging u i love my piggie more than anything and shes only 3 months old. pleaseeeee help me :'(

AHH SO SAD I THINK IF YOU YOU TOOK IT A BATH IN COOL WATER AND BAKING POWDER OR BAKING SODA MIGHT KILL THE FLEAS IF NOT TRY GETTING A SUMMER JOB TO SAVE YOUR PIGGIE

See if there is some over the counter stuff at the drug store or pet store to take care of lice, there should be. I don't think you need to use advantage unless she has fleas.

I do not think Advantage would work on lice, but Frontline would. You'd have to consult a vet for proper dosage for a guinea pig, though.

Give your guinea pig a bath, as that might help (baby shampoo works great on small animals).

mow-lawns, wash cars or baby-sit for money. Then ask him to take to get the stuff, and tell him that you'll pay for it. Go to Petco, they'll tell you what will work best for a guinea pig. I don't think its lice, small animals get something similar, but it's not lice...
