Omg my hamster wont use its wheel2007-11-24 22:14:06

it used to use it all day every day

Is there something u used to do that u dont now?

it probably just forgot about it. or is bored with it.. put him in one of those plastic balls.

How old is it? If its two years old or older it could be slowing down.

did it make like a bed w/ bedding inside the wheel? because thats what mine did right before it died. =[

if its over 2 years, its getting to its older stage. and possibly slowing down. if its over 2 years, dont listen to MOOSE. it could get injured in a plastic ball if its that old

Maybe it just needs to be cleaned. My hamster loves its wheel, but it will start to ignore it once it gets a little dirty. Just take out the wheel, run some hot water over it until it's all clean, dry it off completely, and put it back in!

Also, then it will have a new smell, so your hamster might think it's a new toy!
