On my friends dwarf hamster theres this thing in the middle of her body on her tummy2007-11-24 22:13:17

My friend says that that's her bladder, but I really doubt it. I also think that her hamster's a boy too...but idk.

it could be the scent glands. they use that to leave their scent for mating and to mark theri spot.

If you mean on the outside, then it's not the bladder that's on the inside. It's probably a tumor. Take it to the vet

some male rodents actually like to feel free and so they actually let their Privates become more visible.

take it to the vet, if its old enough it might have a tumor or one of its organs could be inflamed from some kind of toxin and take it right away!!

*It can get clogged up, so feel free to clean it with a little warm water on a Q-tip or washcloth.

if it looks like a slit, it is her bladder area. if it isn't then i have no idea what it could be! tell your friend to take it to the vet, and see what the veterinarian says. i hope its OK!
