i am planning on getting a hamster. i dont know if i should get two for it to play with?? and by the way i am getting teddy bear hamsters

I would suggest one.

2 males or 2 females may fight.

1 male and 1 female will produce babies ! From mating to birth only takes 16 days, and the babies will be ready to start making babies in no more than 2 months. So unless you want lots of babies, I suggest one cute pet hamster!

Get two so that they have company. It's best if they grow up together. Stay away from cedar chips as that will give them nose bleeds. Good luck!

I have had 12 hamsters in my life and if you want babies get one male and one female DO NOT GET TWO OF THE Same gender they will fight and will one get hurt / die

hamsters tend to be aggressive and may fight. I'd suggest just get one or getting two in separate cages

One hamster is all that you will need! Lots of people think that when they get one hamster, then, they need to get another hamster, so that they will be friends! But, really, hamsters aren't social pets at all! I have two female dwarf hamsters, but, now, they are in different cages because they used to fight. One time, one of them got a bloody eye because of fighting! Please, don't make the same mistake that other people, and I made! Only get one hamster. If you don't think that your hamster will have fun, and will get bored easily, play with your hamster yourself! Playing with your hamster for about 10 minutes everyday, or twice a day, would be GREAT for your hamster! Thanks, and good luck,
