Opossum in bedroom help
hello i have an opossum in my bedroom and i walked in there didnt noticed nothing until i looked at my shelf and saw opossum sitting on a big roll of wires and my room is messy but what can i do to get rid of it and i dont know how it came in there
Answers:An opossum can safely be trapped by leaning an empty, tall kitchen trash can at approximately a 30-45潞 angle against something the opossum can climb onto such as a stack of books. Place cat food or ripe fruit at the bottom of the trash can. The opossum will be able to climb into the trash can but will be unable to climb or jump out. Immediately take the trash can outside. Tip the can on its side and the opossum will leave when it feels it is safe to do so. This is best done at dusk. If it has to be done during the day then tip the opening towards a dense shrub where the opossum can hide until nightfall.
You can also try to leave a trail of pet food leading to an open door. Observe quietly at a distance. Once it leaves, shut the door. Do not try to push the opossum with a broom. The frightened animal will freeze and not move.
that sucks, and that is scary. I'd suggest move.
really, they are crazy.
umm... wow interesting..
call a professional
Wow...these are scary beings but they really don't act crazy unless you scare them, too. You can call your wildlife rescue in your city right away. Or you can do it yourself, first. What I would do is put a small bowl of pet food or some of your leftovers in a large box that you can close...preferably with a top you can quietly place over the top. Also, in this box I would put a small towel that you've sprayed with lavendar or catnip essence (or put lavendar/catnip bits on the towel whole)...so the young fellow or girl feels this can be a non scary place. Put a small bowl of water in there, too. Leave the box on your floor. Come in later and see if the creature is in the box. If he/she is, gently place the top of the box. Now call the wildlife rescue in your city and have them pick the fellow/girl in the box up and bring to their mission.
