Pet rat names
i am getting a 3wk old black and whit baby rat tomorrow.
what shouls i name her?
Answers:As someone else said, she should be with her mom for atleast another week befor you take her home. 3 weeks is definantly a little young. I also want to add, you should reconsider taking home one. Rats are VERY social creatures, they enjoy and benifit from other rats. They play and groom eachother, they keep eachother company when you cannot, they get to interact with their own species.
Most first time rat owners make the mistake of only getting one and soon learn that atleast 2 is much better.
As for names, I suggest naming her after you have had her and get the chance to interact with her, that way you can pick a name that fits her personality.

Girls: Moki, Socks, Patches, Rex, Racer, Lucy, Smokey, Domino and Brodie
Boys: Tux and Stewie
Most of which I did not name myself because they are rescues.
