Pet white mice questions
3. these guys will fight alot, and will also have the occasional urge to bite you as well.
4. I used to feed my little mouse fruit, dog food, and Cheerios as a treat...he lived for around three years.
5. mice can be a little aloof and they scare pretty easily, but I doubt they would have heart attacks
6. Mice are escape artists, and I don't think you need to worry about feral one, your kitty would solve that problem.
My advice, purchase a baby rat (they look like mice) and your mum will never know the difference. I have four females and they all coexist peacefully, are easy to maintain, are cleaner, have more personality than mice, and I have never been bitten.
I have had mice before and can answer your questions.
1) If you get two female mice and one gets pregnant it would be best to seperate it, although not necessary. The other female may even take ownership of the babies and drag them around the cage with her. By the way female mice are a good choice because they don't smell as much as males.
2) If both were pregnant they would most likely not fight, they may even take care of each others young.
3) They make pretty good pets but they tend to play on you more then playing with you.
4) You can feed them rat and mouse "labratory" pellets or packaged mouse food.
5) The mice will probably hide but they will most likely not have heart attacks. I have had mice around cats and it was no problem.
