i always wondered what they did with the animals when no one buys the rest of them?
Answers:I also work at Petsmart and we would care for them and try to fix what was not so pleasing to the new pet parents, like be scared or biting and if we could not we would find a home and let them adopt them.So we always found homes, some just took longer and cost us so much money :-)
Usally,if they don't sell,they keep them or they go to another store.
Being a former pet care manager at Pet Smart, we continue to feed and give them their vitamins and nesc. treats to keep them healthy until someone does finally purchase them. If they ever do come down ill, I would personally carry them to the vet. If there is a particular animal that just won't sell, we would transfer it to another store where it would.
