Have you looked into exactly what is required to care for this pet? Are you aware of their life span and the responsibility you will be taking on if you do get a pet. A live animal is not something to play with for a week and then leave to rot. If your hamster bites you, will you throw it back in it's cage and never touch it again?

Ask to wash you parents car(s) i get $6 per car! Also if the 30 included a run around ball don't buy the ball right a way because as long as your hamster has a wheel he will have enough exercise plus a few petshops sell hamsters for less then $5 so look for the cheapest place.

Petco is having a sale for small animals i think so you might want to look there
