Please answer my hamster is really ill2007-11-24 22:14:33

Ok my hamster is female and is 2 1/2 years old.

A couple of months ago she had a faint brown circle around her eye which we just thought we her markings

Today when we were cleaning her out the circle was bigger and darker and sticky looking so we think this is any eye infection

But on both her ears are small dark dots

Whats wrong with my hamster??

Please call your vet or call information to get the phone number tell him you can't get there cause your parents are out ask him" what can I do? "OR Would you have a friend who's mom or dad can drive you to the vets?

Her eye sounds infected or like she some how injured herself, ask your vet what can you put on her eye?

I heard where vinigar helps mites, I think that is what your hamster has in her ear, if you have any kind of vinigar I don't think it matters which kind of viniger, FIRST put a tablespoon full in a bowl and a half a teaspoon of water then mix it and wipe her ear gently with a tissue or Q-tip put enough vinigar and water on it do it 2 or 3 times until the brown dots are gone.

Take her to the vet, it could be some kind of lice or mite infestation.

Or if you keep her in the sun it could cause symptoms like you have mentioned.

Are the dots on her ears mites?

I had a pet mouse once who had a mite infestation which can make them really sick. Did you try washing the hamster? You should take her to a vet.

Please! If your pets are ill please take them to the vet. your hamster might be suffering. if it is an infection, the vet can give you medication or at least better advice than anyone on here.

Take her to the vet eminently!! She could have lade in some potty or somethin and it could lead to an infection towards the eye or it could already be a diseases
