Please help My hamster is gasping for for air2007-11-24 22:14:14

a few days ago she got really fat and we thought it was from eating a lot but now shes gasping for air? what should i do? and please dont joke im a 12 year old girl crying my eyes out because iv had her for 3 years and i really dont want her to die.

When you say 'gasping for air' does it look as if it's emptying its cheekpockets? Both of my hamsters had these odd spasms? right before passing away...

I'm sorry to hear about your hamster! there isn't much you can do for her except make sure that she's comfortable and that you don't scare her. keep it dark and quiet if you can.

it doesn't seem fair, but they usually live about 4 years. I've lost a few and i still miss them all!

take her to the vet most likely they wont charge u anything because its a hamster.atleast thats how my vets are.take him now,good luck

take her to the vet. She make be suffocating from choking. as gross as this is try giving her mouth to mouth.
