Please help me >> my rats eyes have turned sore
*****
As you've noticed, "eyes have gone red" can be interpreted in various ways... porphyrin, blood, inflammation (i.e. infection), a problem inside or instead around the eye, etc.
And "eyes turning back" (or did you perhaps mean black?) really doesn't mean anything to me... If you were talking about a human, I'd assume you meant that the eyes were rolling backwards in the head, making the iris disappear and white of the eye become visible.
I don't see this happening in a rat. So my best guess would be that you mean your rat's eyes appear to have gone "back", i.e. be set deeper, inside her head. Without further info, this could also mean various things... eye infection, inner ear infection, brain tumour, possibly retained position of the eye and instead swelling of the tissue surrounding the eye, etc.
More info would definitely help in trying to answer your Q.
Just something to think about.
Also, especially when it comes to eye problems:
When in doubt, see a vet!
There are some major blood vessles leading to and from the eye, and the brain is very close by. If you're dealing with an infection, things can get nasty very quickly.
I hope Spazrats's reply answered your question, and that you are not dealing with something more serious. That's quite interesting... I hadn't heard of intra-ocular bleeding in rats, yet. Guess you learn something new every day. :)
Scritches to your little rat.
Greetz.
