I need help with everything about hamsters b/c i am pretty new with this stuff!! :-)

Hamsters are nocturnal-which means they sleep all day, and stay up all night. Alot of new hamster owners dont realize this and think something is wrong with their hamster because they "sleep all the time".

Hamsters are very territorial, solitairy animals. If you're going to get 2, you're going to need 2 cages. Even litter mates will fight constantly once they both mature. Some people say you can put a male and a female together and they wont fight..which is probably true, because they're too busy breeding and making 5000 baby hamsters that you'll have to deal with.

Hamsters need water and food available to them 24/7. Alot of times a hamster will empty its food bowl, and take all its food to its "bed". Hamsters can stuff things into their cheeks and keep them their for hours. If you pick up a hamster right after it made a visit to its food dish, usually its cheeks will be super fat, and bumpy. Its funny to give them treats like cheerios, or small pieces of fruit when you have them out. They might nibble on it a little, but eventually they'll stuff the entire thing in their cheek, to save it for later..so when you clean the cage every week, you're most likely going to find a pile of food where they sleep.

They need stuff to entertain them in their cage. A wheel is pretty much a neccessity. It provides them with exercise, and entertainment. They'll also need a hut or something to sleep in and keep warm.
