I have 11 right now...9 females, 2 males...

(Moki, Rex, Racer, Socks, Smokey, Lucy, Patches, Brodie, Domino, Stewie and Tux)

They live in the rat tower, it's 3 cages put ontop of eachother.

The Bottom cage is an all white wire cage with a rad metal bottom, it have 3 levels in it, litter pan on the bottom along with a running wheel, hammok on the second level and a cushion bed on the top level. They also have several toys hung all through the cage, which get changed out weekly to keep intreset...

The second cage is a black ferret cage that I added to to make the levels have solid floors, it has a food dish and water bottle on each level, the bottom has a big igloo house and a hammok, the top has a hanging cloth tube, and extra wooden cliffs to climb onto...They also have toys hung about...

The top cage is a smaller cage like the bottom, all white wire with a purple bottom. It also has 3 level, the top is only a half level though...

It has another litter pan in the bottom along with toys, they second level has a food dish and water bottle along with another hammock.and again toys hung all about.

I'm probably leaving a lot out but I do not want to make this a novel...

My babies are spoiled...

I had three rats named Shizzle, Ruby, and Oceana. Two were white rats, the other was a brown rat. Their cage was actually built by my father. It is made from an old 3-story book shelf, and has latter's in each level. In each room, it has a different theme. One is eating, the other is sleeping, and the last is the play level.

This depends on the rats. Calmer rats (males mostly) generally hammocks and places to sleep in. Active rats (females mostly) love climbing things such as rope perches made for parrots, and sometimes even a wheel.
