Potty training a guinea pig
how would you do it and about how long does it take for them to learn? thanks
Answers:they pick where they want to go and thats where you put the "box" litter, etc.
I don't think it's possible to potty train a rodent.
They are poop machines - it's what they do.
Depends on whether it is male or female.
It varries from guinea to guinea. You can start with buying a triangular shaped plastic peace from the petstore for about $5.00
After that, whenever he/she starts peeing, put him/her in the plastic area.
If she doesnt catch on, take a scooper, and then put his/her poop in the plastic, and it will think, that must be the place to go in!
I have had a guinea pig for 3 years now, and never had any luck. But mine is really stubborn, so it shouldnt take more than a month for an average one.
Hope this helped, and good luck!
You don't.
You either change their box and cedar chips once every week to two weeks, or you have a metal cage with a sliding tray for newspaper. You'll be changing it a lot no matter what.
I tried potty training my guinea pig so i got her an outhouse and instead of going in it she sleeped in it!!!!
No i don't think you can potty train a guinea pig.
Maybe you can go to the petstore and ask someone how to potty train yours maybe that will help.
Umm.watch the first Dr. Dolittle movie, that should get this crazy idea outta ya head lol.
This questions has been asked quite a bit. It is possible.. sometimes. Depends on the guinea pig. Here is a link to another question that has good answers. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...
