Is there any other ways to tell if a hamster is pregnant other then weight gain?
Answers:1.Stomach looks bigger.
2.Biting when held or touched.
3.Making a nest.
4.Eating more than usual.
5.Gets more active.
6.More aggressive.
7.**** become red.
8.Begins hoarding more food.
9.Seem more nervous.

They are only pregnant for 16 days so you will know soon enough! good luck!
u will have to take it to the vet.. that is the only way i could tell that mine was having babies
She could be making a nest, distancing herself from other hamsters, not wanting to be picked up, swollen nipples, changing her diet a bit, any of these, and a few other things, but that is basically it. If she is pregnant be sure to find good homes for your babies, and make sure the mommy has anything she needs to give birth!!

HAHA We had NO clue. One day, just discovered babies. Mind you, they are "suppost" to have a litter of seven. We had a litter of FOURTEEN!! It was just unbelievable. It was an experience, and fun! Found homes for them all.
well i think you will see little rows of bumps on her stomach.
Only her doctor can be sure, but you can check for morning sickness, swollen breast tissue, mood swings and overall desires to coo. She may want to start looking at basinet magazines, but it seems too soon for that.
You can feel the babies moving around inside, and she will also be preparing a nest.
