RABBIT HELP Urgent2007-11-24 22:14:23

We just had a small flash flood and my rabbit was up to his paws in water before I got to him. I dried him off gave him fresh water, food, and hay and made sure his hutch was dry. Is there anything else I should have done? Are there any sicknesses or dieases I need to worry about because he got wet? HELP!!!!

Answers:

no honey, your little bunnyrabbit go the best of care from you when you rescued him dried him off and made sure everything was a-ok in his house and fed him fresh food, youre a good mommy, dont worry about anything.i love animals too!

I am sure it is fine, we bathe rabbits all the time at my work.
hamsters can get something called wet tail but i think it will go away. Your rabbit should be fine, what do you think rabbits in the wild do when it rains? they must get wet sometimes. but just keep him dry just incase ;)
He only got wet. Keep him dry and watch him over the next few days. If he appears to be doing well then don't worry. If he starts to get lethargic take him to the Vet.
i would call ur vet but otherwise im sure he will be just fine!
just keep it dry and warm.

should be fine(:

I think that it will be fine
He'll be fine. If he's cold, bring him indoors and keep him warm. Shock would probably be the only thing that may affect him which is serious but if he's warm, dry, eating and going to the toilet as normal, then he'll be okay.
