I feed my rabbit a bowl of dried food a day and a carrot since i got it (6 days ago, But what other vegetables can i feed him? Thanks
Answers:www.rabbit.org has a list of 'rabbit safe' veggies to feed them. They can also answer any bunny related questions :)
clean lettuce would work too
they love clover, lettuce but not to much, try different things
more than likely the rabbit was raised on pellet food and a large amount of veggies can be toxic to the rabbit. Please do not feed it lettuce because it can be highly toxic and the rabbit cannot digest large quanties of any veggy. My son found this out the hard way!
Stay away from beans and lettuce (except for Romaine lettuce). They can cause gas. Rabbits love apples, carrots, even raw sweet potato, but they should be given as treats..More important for your bunny is a mineral block for it to lick and some toys for it to gnaw on----make sure you get ones specifically for rabbits.
Actually you shouldn't feed rabbits carrots because they have difficulty digesting it. Same with lettuce. You should be giving your rabbit some hay daily.check the pet store. Our rabbit enjoys apple slices and grapes but we only give it to her occasionally because it causes her to have diarrhea. Good Luck!
