Update: Yeah, good rat vets are few and far between. I guess this vet doesn't know that injecting Baytril under the skin can leave nasty ulcers that are very hard to heal. Injectable Baytril can be given orally. E-mail me for instructions.

I sure wish that bleeding would stop. If you are into trying homeopathics, homeopathic phosphorous 30C from the health food store can slow down or stop bleeding. Again e-mail me for dosing instructions.

Ok, if the blood appears more watery, then I suspect it is a bladder infection. Vaginal bleeding from any source is pure blood. It would just go away with treatment, it wouldn't get more watery as the condition clears up.

she could be in labour, if shes not very old herself then she possibly wouldnt get very big

if shes pushing[hunching and belly breathing] and nothing's being produced within 30 mins of first 'show' [bloody mucus shoing birthing has begun] id ring the vet she may have one stuck in the birth canal. leave it too long and you could lose her and any bubs

rats TEND to reabsorb not miscarriage, [a lot of effort goes into producing those bubs on the does behalf, and she cant afford to just let that go] although its not unheard off
