4oz bran sticks (Holland & Barrett's own brand has no added sugar or salt)

4oz dried flaked peas

To add protein to their diet, the above dry mix is then mixed with a good quality low fat dried dog kibble. Nutro-Lite is the prefered choice, but is expensive and difficult to obtain throughout the UK, but alternatives can be found. The key is to make sure the protein content is around 15% and that the main 'bulking' ingredient isn't dried corn or maize. We are currently using James Wellbeloved's Senior/light Turkey & Rice kibble, which is a little high in protein at 18% (so we feed less), but we will be switching to Autarkey's lite brand, which is only 14%. Adding the kibble seperately to the dry mix allows us to have more control over the amount of protein the rats are getting. On average, we mix one handful of kibble to 2 handfuls of dry mix.

To ensure that the rats recieve a well-balanced diet, we add Dr.Squiggles Daily Essentials Plus (a multi-vitamin and mineral mix) to their water every day, and CalciVet (a calcium supplement) once a week.

All u need are peanuts,oatmeal,raisins,cornfl... food, millet(canary seed),sunflower seeds.
