look that makes twice i mentioned SKIN or UNDER SKIN mites, as opposed to mites that live in the FUR alongside lice
I havent come to petqna.com to argue with any other member, nor compete, if you are so insecure to have to resort to once again 'calling me out' thats not my problem. i will give advice gained from my vast REAL ratkeeping experience,[ not net informed] where and when it is asked for, whether you like it or not
I do not feel the need to disagree with other members [ apart from the obvious trolls] as i feel the asker has a right to as much information as possible. i will not mark other members in a negative[ unless obvious trolls] jst to make myself look better, as I'm also not so egotistical as to not also believe that most askers can and do choose bits and pieces from ALL well informed answers, not just the one
live with it and get over yourself
We also usually have 2 rats sharing a cage. What we have found is that rats can be jealous. We have learned that they have to each have their own house, (kleenex box) and their own jam jar to sit in. They may be friends but they don't always want to share. They are like little kids. I hope your cage is big enough for them both and they get play time out of the cage.
i used to have one rat and i bought another. they used to fight at first but if you take them both out of the cage and introduce them in a neutral place they should get on. this is because the older rat thinks of the tank as her place and nobody else is allowed in. in a neutral environment (like in an empty bath) they should get on. put them both in together for 5-10 minutes each day until they start to get on better and if you see them fighting make a loud noise to distract the older one from biting :)
