Can I advise that you visit a shelter first? I know that a lot of domesticated rats are put into shelters because of the fact that they're a "rat" I think that you have a much better chance finding a deserving rat to take home in a shelter than going to a "good" breeder, who might not provide proper care and medical treatment. At most shelters, it's gauranteed that the animal you're taking home is healthy.
